Born from eleven hours of forgotten meetings
In early 2023, our founders counted their meeting hours: 42 calls, 11 hours of conversation, and roughly zero minutes remembered two weeks later. Decisions were repeated, owners were guessed, and the phrase “did we ever decide that?” was the company soundtrack.
So they built a bot that could listen better than they could — record every call, transcribe every word, and extract the decisions and promises automatically. The first prototype summarized a 45-minute call in 30 seconds. It worked so well that their own team started refusing to run meetings without it.
That prototype became Metrik. Our mission is simple: no conversation should ever be lost. Not to memory, not to chat, not to the meeting that ran two minutes over.

The first recording
Metrik was born in a two-person apartment after our founders counted 11 hours of unremembered meetings in a single week. The prototype recorded, transcribed, and summarized in under 30 seconds.
2024
Founding team & seed
We closed a $5M seed round led by Forward Ventures and welcomed our first ten design-partner teams. Speaker detection and action items shipped in the first release.
2025
Enterprise & SOC 2
Metrik passed SOC 2 Type II, added SSO and data residency, and crossed 4,000 teams. We hit 4.2 million meetings processed and launched our research index.
2026
The teammate era
Calendar sync v2, real-time captions, and workspace-wide search. Today, 8,400+ teams use Metrik to make every meeting count — including this one.
